Abstract :
Remote surveillance system is the use of cameras to monitor properties and assets from a remote location. It is used as an asset protection device for areas where it is not possible or practical to install a cable network. However, transmitting a real time video over an ad hoc network creates a video interruption because wireless link in an ad-hoc network are broken frequently due to noise signal, attenuation and nodes mobility. So we have designed a multimedia route repair routing protocol (MRTP) for efficient route repair mechanism and to check the quality of the link between each nodes in the wireless Network, which simulated using NS2 simulator and We have combined Advanced video coding, H.264 with the multimedia route repair protocol for the efficient video transfer between the mobile nodes in wireless Network. Surveillance is provided in unreachable area is the main benefit and others are saving cost and easier to install when compared to cabling. It also reduces the labor cost through centralized monitoring instead of human workforce.
