Abstract :
According to the needs of a research institute, the design of the automatic tool changing system in developing the numerical controlling experimental device, which is simulatedly used to cut propellants, had been accomplished. In this design, some analyses and researches, concerning methods of exchanging cutters, description of the circuit and the related instructions and procedures of PLC, had been finished. To realize the controlling of the automatic exchanging cutters process , the four stations vertical electric turret and PLC had come to use .The automatic exchanging cutters device improves the manufacturing efficiency, reduces the labor intensity, enhances the safety of operation and adequately guarantees the security of operators.
