Abstract
The authors examine the considerations for choosing among the various types of BiCMOS technology. They examine several BiCMOS approaches with increasing levels of sophistication. The many approaches to BiCMOS process integration are described. No fundamental incompatibility in process or device structure stands in the way of bipolar-CMOS integration. Significant performance enhancement over pure CMOS has been demonstrated
