  • Abstract
    In the context of applications development for personalized information retrieval, there is an increasing need for addressing diverse users´ interests and requirements in a specific domain with appropriate user tailored data. Consequently, a user desires to obtain information suitable for his entered queries. It is worth mentioning that Social Network use has emerged due to emerging devices for new technologies and advanced Web techniques. In order to answer this need, we propose to enrich our user model ontology for handicraft domain by FOAF ontology. In this paper, we propose an approach for user model ontology construction. Then, we propose two algorithms for matching and merging ontologies so as to achieve the enrichment with FOAF. We define then some bridge axioms. We illustrate the applicability of our approach through a concrete example.
