Abstract
A prevalent advancement of wireless networks has been the capability to support variable-service users with distinct applications. This paper addresses power allocation in a network where users have stringent constraints on throughput and performance. With the presented power control policy, a user shall adapt transmit power in autonomous fashion so as to satisfy constraints on throughput and performance. The analysis applies to both uplink and downlink transmission with the optimal power assignment attainable in either centralized or distributed fashion.
