Abstract :
Damper is widely used for vibration energy absorption, the shaft vibration suppression, soft start and overload protection device. Calculation of damping torque is an important task of the damper design. This paper analyzes the characteristics of several existing dampers. Use the commercial finite element software Ansoft calculated damping torque of magnetic damper, and compare the results with the energy method and the Gauss theorem method , indicating that Ansoft has good accuracy and Ansoft is very suitable for parametric design. This method has important significance on the research, design and application of magnetic damper.
