Abstract :
Robust and compact wavelength converter modules have been realised as attractive key devices for optical switching and WDM systems. Extinction ratio regeneration up to 10 Gbit/s data rates is achieved by high speed wavelength conversion modules with all active MQW-based 3-port Mach-Zehnder interferometer chips.
