  • Abstract
    We derive an expression for CSO induced by self-phase modulation and dispersion. Our time-domain analysis is well suited for cascaded links of optical amplifiers with multiple fiber types. We compare theory with CSO measurements from a 100 km fiber link with two EDFAs and 10 km of dispersion compensating fiber inserted at various points.
