Abstract
We show the feasibility of 10 Gb/s 8 channel multi-repeater transmission over dispersion shifted fiber, with the worst case dispersion arrangement. Transmission over 480 km with 120 km long repeater spacing was realized with an orthogonal polarization arrangement and frequency modulated RZ pulse format.
