Abstract :
With the increase of city vehicles, Expressway playing an increasingly important role in relieve city traffic pressure. But because lots of vehicles drive into expressway at peak times, make the expressway occur the traffic congestion. How to effectively solve the urban expressway traffic congestion, Entrance ramp control is one of the key technology. At present, the method of entrance ramp control has Demand - Capacity balance control, Gap control and so on. Each method has its particular application condition. This comprehensive consideration of the saturated flow of the expressway, the current traffic flow, the occupancy rate factor etc. Based on this, advances a method of entrance ramp control based on the road service level, Through the experiment prove that, This method can effectively relieve traffic congestion of urban expressway.
