Abstract :
A new phase-locking technique, the optical injection phase-lock loop (OIPLL), is reported which gives low values of phase error variance (0.006 rad/sup 2/, 500 MHz bandwidth) and wide locking range (>26 GHz) even with wide linewidth (>20 MHz) semiconductor lasers.
