Abstract :
The bearing capacity of Wenzhou ultra soft seabed silt hydraulic fill site is very low, it is a huge challenge to construct on this ground. Considering the feasibility and economy, the double layer filter-tube non-sand-mat vacuum preloading is adopted to improve the subgrade ground. The effect of this method were studied through field monitoring and in-situ test via practical engineering. The measured data shows that the double layer filter-tube no-sand mat vacuum preloading is an effective and economical method, to improve the bearing capacity and eliminate the post-construction settlement of subgrade.
