Abstract
A three-phase 8/6 switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive system without position sensors is presented, the sensorless SRM utilizes the strategy of detecting the derivative of the phase current(DDPC) to estimate the position and speed information. The power converter is three-phase full bridge inverter. A SRM experimental system according to DDPC strategy based on TMS320LF2407A is designed. The experimental results show that the steady speed error of the drive system is less than 0.1% operated at the rated load, and the transient speed performance is also satisfactory.
