Abstract
Motor drive system is one of the core components of electric vehicles. To meet the electric vehicles performance requirements: starting, accelerating, climbing and other driving conditions demand, motor drive system requires high torque at low speed, high power at high speed, wide speed control range, etc. This paper takes a motor-driven electric vehicle system design as an example, from the control topology, power demand calculation, motor drive system design, and parameter selection points of view, elaborates electric vehicle motor drive system design procedure and key technologies. It can be provided as a good reference for electric vehicle motor drive system design.
