Abstract
Two methods of constant sound velocity profile (SVP) recovering by measuring the echo-signals receiving time are compared in this work. Under a laboratory modeling of two methods of sound velocity profile recovering in water medium in a rectangular distant sounding scheme both methods of SVP recovering showed approximately equal accuracy. The advantage of ray factor method in comparison with linearization method is an absence of necessity of integral ray equation solving and making a spline-interpolation of experimental data. This simplifies the SVP recovering problem and increases it´s accuracy.
