Abstract
The University of Maine has long been involved with the use of instructional television. The recent adoption of video conferencing over the Internet has opened opportunities with other institutions that had not previously used video conferencing. This is possible by leveraging the networking infrastructure in place for data connectivity to the Internet. The University strives to further exploit this technology to extend education and research in the state of Maine.
