Abstract :
We report about the fabrication method of CNT-conducting polymer composite nanowire array applicable to chemical sensors using a single-step electropolymerized between electrodes. The method is free from some limitations such as complicated process of post-synthesis nanowire manipulation or nano-patterning process for templates that traditional methods have. It is possible to fabricate arrays of individually addressable nanowire sensors with specific positioning and chemical composition. Three kinds of conducting polymer nanowires - polypyrrole, polyaniline, and polythiophene - are synthesized on a single chip. Using polypyrrole nanowire doped FeCl3, assessed for chemical sensing application, specifically pH monitoring.
