  • Abstract
    A new design procedure and corresponding design criteria of IPM machine is presented in the paper. The procedure interconnects the vehicle performance with the design parameters of an IPM machine. The presented design procedure has a three-layer structure, with different layer deals with different requirements. Design constrains and rules in the second layer are summarized as design criteria, which guarantee the machine is well designed and safety operated.
