Abstract
Radar equipped devices can provide useful information to control sailing in bad weather and sea conditions. In this paper we focus the attention on problems related to the ships identification. In particular, the reconstruction and the binarisation of the ship´s image with neural techniques are addressed. A rotation-invariant solution is proposed for real-time performances.
