Abstract :
The treatment of chemical effluent is very complex with respect to its characteristics. To treat this effluent, different processes like biological, chemical and physiochemical can be applied based on its characteristics. Attempt was made to reduce COD and TSS. To obtain the optimum removal of COD and TSS, different combinations of coagulant and polyelectrolyte were applied at the laboratory scale model. The effluent was made to derive optimum retention time.
