  • Abstract
    The soil testing and formulated fertilization techniques will not only increase the production yield and fertilizer utilizing rate, but also decrease the cost of agricultural production and agricultural pollutions. Computer fertilization system can effectively assist fertilization decision-making. The paper taking Dongguan city in Guangdong province as study area, based on the spatial variability of soil nutrients and fertilization model. By Integrating ArcEngine component and the Visual Studio.NET 2005 development environment, with the database of ArcSDE for SOL Server2005, an formulated fertilization information system which advice fertilization amount and method for banana and litchi plants was built. Compared with conventional fertilizer practice, the system shows more fertilization precision, high efficacy and easy to use. The application of system proved that the production increased by 15%, the income increased 300 yuan and the fertilizer cost reduced 10% per acre.
