  • Abstract
Currently, multi-spectral camera of satellite often uses linear array detector as imaging device .The article first describes the characteristics of the optical imaging satellites and DSP satellites. Then the cat´s eye effect in case of the laser divergence angle is smaller than the field of view is analyzed in detail. And the echo equation of cat´s eye effect is deduced for linear array detector. By describing the common materials of satellite thermal control coating, the reflection echo equation of different locations of satellite are given. Using the derived equations, how the reflection echo of the satellite affects the distinguishing of cat´s eye effect is discussed. Finally, the article explores the feasibility of optical imaging satellite detection based on cat´s eye effect.
