Abstract :
The proportion of heavy vehicle is very high in Chinese freeway. The presence of heavy vehicle affects the lane choice behavior of cars and some particular phenomena arose, among which is the "heavy vehicles and cars in different lane" phenomenon. Models are present in analyzing the occurring condition of this phenomenon. And the impacts on the operation of freeway when this phenomenon happen is studied in detail using kinematic wave theory. Finally some measures are put out to release the impact
