Abstract :
Cognitive testing of Electronic Health Record (EHR) document presentation and practice will be increasingly valuable as institutions adopt the EHR and begin to experience information overload. Valid testing of clinical decision making requires realistic documents to validly portray clinical scenarios in context. The authors describe a system adapted from public source software that efficiently assists deidentification at considerable savings of time and with good accuracy.
