Abstract :
Wire antennas are of spread use in the HF, VHF and UHF frequency ranges. They are of very simple constructions. Two new wire antennas are proposed, namely the ladder and figure-eight antennas. The radiation characteristics are obtained using the method of moments (MoM) with suitable dimensions for both antennas. From the obtained characteristics both antennas can be considered of wide bandwidth. The given discussions proved the feasibility of using such antenna in a wide range of applications in the mentioned frequency ranges.
