Abstract
We present a compact and robust analyzer employing micro-plasma emission spectroscopy for real-time determination of metal concentrations in flowing water samples. The analyzer has been characterized by measuring Na, Mn and Ag at mg/L concentrations. The intensity fluctuations of the emission signals have been significantly reduced by applying the Boltzmann plot method to account for variations in the excitation temperature and the number of emitting particles.
