Abstract :
The spiro-helical antenna (SHA) is analyzed using the method of moments (MoM). The analysis is validated by comparison with the power gain, input impedance and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) measurements. A comparison between the SHA and the conventional helical antenna is made. Higher gain and improved axial ratio are obtained. Also, the scattering characteristics of the SHA are investigated.
