Abstract :
Sand is a naturally occurring granular material composed of finely divided mineral particles. Dredging is the repositioning of soil from a marine environment with the aid of special equipment called dredger in order to initiate infrastructural or ecological improvement. The ecological disadvantages of excavating the limited landscape to serve all the need for sand is much more than the danger posed by a careful dredging of sand from the sea bed. The article presents the working principles of various dredgers and some fundamental peculiarities in characteristics of the proposed mini sunction dredger.
