Abstract :
Polyethylene (PE) takes first stand among all plastic materials due to the valuable technical properties and low price of raw material. Low density PE (LDPE) and high density PE (HDPE) are prevailing. The aim of this work is to study the application of UHMWPE as insulation material. The paper investigates dependences of resistivity, electrical strength and heat capacity on molecular weight of UHMWPE.
