Abstract :
A weak point in the field of a fire-prevention safety are cables and wires. On appraise of the fire safety situation in Russia electric cables and wires takes first place in a rank of a fire danger among electro technical products. For general-purpose wire and cables, with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) have been widely used. PVC has led to greater discussion about the effects of dioxin emissions resulting from the incineration and lead contamination of reclaimed land resulting from waste landfills. At fire 86 occurrence in the constructions having a high concentration of people the greatest danger to the life of people, present poisoning gases - halogens allocated at burning of polymers. Taking into account that 1 kg of PVC used as an insulation of wires, educing to 180 I HCI we can understand how dangerous such cables at burning. It is dangerous not only to people. On PVC burning, sour gases educe that can damage much the equipment even not affected by fire. The smoke and aggressive gases can destroy the constructional parts of buildings, electric/electronic and mechanical elements of the equipment. Another danger is destroying vital systems at fire, such as systems of the fire alarm system, saving lifts, ventilation, systems providing manufacturing support of a continuous cycle. A considerable quantity of a smoke, in case of a fire, strongly complicates salvage operations.
