Abstract :
An antenna for ultra-wideband (UWB) radio system is presented. The effect of UWB antenna on the UWB pulse waveform is investigated. To verify the pulse distortion effects of UWB antenna in UWB radio, a generalized pulse waveform is transferred through the proposed UWB antenna. The antenna is made on Teflon substrate with overall size of 44times20times0.46 mm. Satisfactory performance is achieved with simple structure for the wide range of frequency of 3.5-10.6 GHz, which is allowing for low cost productions
