Abstract :
Spectral ground data are one important asset in the provision of reliable imaging spectroscopy products by the application of Cal/Val procedures. These data should firstly be stored in an organised manner, documented by rich metadata, and secondly be exchangeable between database systems to enable data sharing between research groups. In this paper we present a solution of the exchange of spectral data collections including their full metadata context in normalised form. The presented methods were implemented in the SPECCHIO spectral database system and allow the operational data exchange between distributed SPECCHIO instances.
