Abstract :
Two classes of lens antennas in transportation system are described in which offer unique advantages by their own structure characters. To realize wide band and high gain operations for the transportation system, some antennas are designed and compared in this paper. By optimization, the two classes of antennas can both realize the same radial character and the bandwidth is enough for practical operation. The simulation results and analyses of the Luneburg lens and the optimum two-shell dielectric sphere lens antenna are presented
