Abstract :
Although RUSLE is used widely in United States and worldwide, it is limited in the application on large scale area, because of it´s conventional parameterization methods. In this paper, a water erosion model based on remote sensing and GIS-(Revised RUSLE, R2USLE model) will be developed to resolve the problem of erosion assessment at catchment-scale. It can be used to do event-based soil erosion evaluation as well as the moth or year evaluation. In this model, multi-sourced remotely sensed data and geographic information tools will be used together. The application in Daling river basin shows that R2USLE is good tool to estimate the soil erosion and sediment yield in large river basin scale, but it emphasis the erosion in high degree.
