Abstract :
Space-time block coding is a modulation scheme recently discovered for the transmit antenna diversity to combat effects in wireless fading channels. In this paper, using Meijer´s G function, we give the closed-form capacity expressions of orthogonal space-time block codes (OSTBCs) over usual uncorrelated fading channel (Nakagami-m, Ricean) and correlated Rayleigh fading channel. The closed-form capacity expression of OSTBCs over Nakagami-m fading channels with keyhole is also presented. Outage probability is an important and relevant performance measure in the design of wireless communication systems to operate in a fading environment. We can derive simple closed-form outage probability expressions over the above cases. These formulas are simply expressed
