Abstract :
Some experiments had indicated that vertical atmospheric refractivity profiles near coastline could be estimated accurately by using ray propagation models to fit measured GPS tropospheric delays in a least-squaresmetric. Therefore, a way was put forward in the article to estimate the time-variant range of marine radar with time-variant vertical atmospheric refractivity profiles from ground-based GPS.
