Abstract
This paper presents a microwave space diversity system operating at 2.2 GHz, which links Beirut to the South of Lebanon. The natural features of the path between the transmitter and the receiver locations restrict the wave to pass over the sea. Annual, seasonal, monthly and daily dynamic analyses of more than one-year attenuation measurements are presented. The fading time interval distributions are extracted for several attenuation threshold levels of 30,40 and 50 dB.
