Abstract
As Moore´s law drives increasing computing power year after year, managing the power consumption of the PC becomes an increasing challenge. With such challenges come opportunities. Intel has been a leader in developing innovative solutions to address and resolve power challenges by tackling the issue at multiple levels: silicon, package, circuit design, platform and software. Some of the recent accomplishments are explained in this paper. In addition, future challenges that remain are identified.
