Abstract :
In a previous report (E.E. Sabelman et al., “Balance diagnosis using a wearable upper body motion analysis computer”, Proc. RESNA Intnl. Conf., p. 81-3, 1992) an analog sensor based wearable accelerometric motion analysis system (WAMAS) used for balance assessment was discussed. Technological advancements since the initial development of WAMAS have permitted development of a faster, smaller, lighter, digital output next-generation system. This paper discusses the development of the next-generation system (WAMAS-2), specifically the interface between the digital accelerometers and the embedded computer system
