Abstract :
This paper presents the impact of orthoses on the gait of Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) patients. The study compared sagittal moment of force profile and electrical activity of their muscle groups with and without orthotic use. The results show an improved moment of force with orthotic use, and less demand on the muscles, as evidenced by less electrical activity of the muscle groups
