Abstract :
This paper proposes an autonomous multi-hop communication algorithm for customer-provided mobile communications system assuming lower frequency band such as VHF. According to the proposed algorithm, each mobile terminal autonomously constructs sub-network topology named terminal-group, based on the received power from other terminals. Each terminal also generates its own routing-table due to such topology, and conducts dynamic two-way multi-hop transmission, thereby improves packet communication performance. We further introduce our prototype terminals employing such an algorithm and reports about its experimental results
