Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. This paper presents a new technique for the design of nonlinear magnetic devices using a numerical synthesis technique. The method utilizes 2D finite elements and dynamic programming for predicting the geometries of magnetic circuits and wlnding areas. This new technique i s applicable for both low and high frequency designs, as well as in handling magnetic material non-linearites. Device parameter, such as inductances and winding resistances can also be obtained.
