Abstract :
Design of ad hoc networks is a challenging task. This paper studies the problem of resource allocation with STDMA as the access control scheme. There have been many studies for applying TDMA to ad hoc network. However, most of them do not take into consideration prediction of mobility of a mobile host and a STDMA slot assignment protocol to improve the channel utilization proposed. This protocol can dynamically control the utilization of slot by using fuzzy set to predict the mobility of the mobile host. By using fuzzy set in mobility prediction this protocol finely resolve bad flexibility of traditional resource allocation scheme.
