  • Abstract
    The wastewater produced from the polytetrahydrofuran (PolyTHF) was treated with adsorption method using granular activated carbon as adsorbent. We have studied the influences of activated carbon input, temperature, adsorption time and pH value on the wastewater treatment. The results showed that at 40 °C, with contact time of 30min and pH value of about 5.0, the wastewater CODcr removal rate could reach as high as 88.2% when 3g of activated carbon was put into the 50ml volume of waste water, The biodegradability of wastewater was greatly improved which laid good foundation for subsequent biotreatment.
