Abstract
A new method of the measurement and evaluation of piezoelectric vibration and material using a fiber-optic ring interferometer is described. The value corresponding to the piezoelectric d -, and g -constant can be measured locally by making the measurement of amplitude and Q -value at the first resonance and by considering the electric condition of the mode. The acoustic velocity of a disk transducer can also be evaluated without the measurement of Poisson´s ratio of the material by analyzing the phase shift of vibration that can be measured only by the optical method
