Abstract
A catheter based, circular phased array system is presented for side-looking, high-resolution imaging of coronary arteries. The system is capable of full dynamic focus over a large depth of field using only a single connection between the catheter tip and the imaging console. The results of detailed simulations are presented, demonstrating the capabilities of the method
