Abstract
In this paper, the ARM embedded fire alarm controller is designed and applied to the fire intelligent video surveillance system of large space. Based on the Modbus communication protocol, the fire alarm controller receive the information from video surveillance platform, sending out alarm signal of voice and light when fire happened, and then the fire sprinkler system are controlled to extinguish a fire automatic. Aimed at the flaws of the object extraction algorithms in intelligent video signal processing, the improved method has been proposed. Finally the system experiments are carried out. The results of experiments show the large space fire alarm controller based on intelligent video surveillance has good performance both in reliability of fire monitoring and in real time of alarm and fire control.
