Abstract :
Quantitative remote sensing products has similar scale-free and self-similarity phenomena as coastline measurement, based on which, information fractal dimension method was proposed and was used to quantify the scaling difference of QRPs. In the paper, information fractal dimensions of leaf area index and sensible heat flux at two contrast surface heterogeneities were calculated. It shows that the more surface heterogeneity is, the higher the information fractal dimension is. The significance of the information fractal dimension lies in its explanation and quantification for scaling difference of QRPs.
