Abstract :
An intelligent fault diagnosis system is exploited in order to improve the reliability of 120-type air brakes which are used by main freight trains in our country and ensure the running security. Pneumatic principle and structural characteristics of the brake is analyzed. Common fault characteristic of the brake is summarized. The analysis method of fault tree is applied to establish the fault tree and fault knowledge base of the brake and design relevant software and hardware. The test results show that the fault diagnosis system can realize intelligent detection and quick positioning for the brake fault and help to guide maintenance personnel to remove the fault quickly.
