Abstract :
This paper presents a new positioning scheme, and describes the IF (intermediate frequency) subsystem of the aircraft locating equipment. The equipment shows high performances in situations with large Doppler shifts. In order to keep the equipment as compact, lightweight and low power consumption as possible, DSP (digital signal processing) and FPGA (field programmable gate array) technologies are adopted. The key parts of hardware design are introduced, and the acquisition and tracking algorithms are proposed also
